Home...work
Working from home always seems the ideal situation, but it is not all it is cracked up to be. You lose that valuable connection with your co workers, the brief bit of exercise by leaving your home, and the social skills you would develop if you had to deal w/ real people, not just voices over the phone. Is this why I sometimes feel insanity creeping around? Right out of sight, but still close enough for me to hear it breathing? Heavily? Like there, or over there...I see you. On the other hand, you can wake up 1 minute before you must "be to work", and you can save a few bucks by eating @ home, rather than the closest fast food joint. Also, you don't have to shave, shower, dress, or perform any of the other time consuming rituals needed to be amongst other humans. The television is there to help relieve the days pains, and your bed is always a stone's throw away for that quick catnap during your lunch hour. More pros than cons I guess. But when all is said and done, you can begin to feel your ass sinking into your chair, your eyes glazing over and your flesh melting away in that damp, dark dungeon called the home office. Beware!
