The Inauguration
I wanted it to be The Road Warrior, Aliens, Day of the Dead, Star Wars. Something loud, loved and classic, that would be fun to see on our new 42" plasma, w/ the surround that the other half had completed. Well, we had company this weekend, and we ended up watching National Treasure for the first film on the new system. It was a fun movie, but not what I wanted to see for that first special viewing. Yesterday, we watched The Incredibles. It was indeed incredible, but now the special inaugural film can no longer be watched. Its time has past. Instead, two current films, albeit good, were to take that honor. And, oh, were they nice. The THX logo that began The Incredibles, was worth the wait. The bonus, is that even though the two films were loud and crisp and all encompassing, I did not have any anxiety about how it may upset the neighbors. It never made me feel like we were bothering our fellow condo owners. The other half would say, "Who cares". But I want to not worry about how loud we are. It never seemed over the top, so all was enjoyable. System enjoyed by all.
