I know that most parents probably think it is adorable for their children to leave the outgoing message on voice mail or answering machines. But it really is not. Please stop this. It truly is like nails on a chalkboard to hear the voice of a small child saying "please leave a message". It is not the least bit understandable, and the fact that you can generally hear the parent giggling in the background only makes it worse. It is not cute, it is not practical, it is not wanted. Stop. That is all.
