Root Canals, Lizards, Show Stress & Company
The other half had a root canal done last night. He came through it okay, but is a bit crabbier than normal. I'll be happy when he is completed w/ all of his pending dental work. He took today off, thus our V marathon will be completed by day's end. The last few episodes have been pretty painful. Michael Wright (Elias), Michael Ironside (Ham), and Blair Tefkin (Robin) are no longer on the show, and in some ways, it makes for a great void. There are far fewer folks to follow around. Other notable changes, Jane Badler apparently lost some weight. While her thighs, hips and bum are still appetizing, there's less to love. Also, the opening credits are different; both in footage used, and in the music. Not as great as before. We have two episodes left. All of the Visitor folklore and traditions have been pretty lame, but I'm still enjoying the whole process of revisiting this old favorite.
We have an actual audience for Sleeping Ugly in less than a week. I know it'll pull together; as it always does, but in the meantime, I'm stressing big time! I'm gonna have some horrendous costume changes, and will have very little time to work them. People (including me) are still calling for lines. We got a new piece of music last night for the finale. Also, we've had one actual run through, and it was more akin to a "slog through". I don't have the slightest idea of the flow of the show, and that's putting me on edge. Lots to do, and 4 actual rehearsals remain + 1 cue to cue and then a final "dress" before we go to FL. Aye carumba!
In other news (thanks Leah), my youngest brother has confirmed flight plans to arrive in Chicago mid April. He will be staying at our place for a week; to hang out, check out the city and to check out a film school. It's been about 4 years since I saw him, so it should prove to be super fun.
