The Eh-eh-end. The Eh-eh-end. The End.

Final show today. We had a super audience; about 70, and they loved the show. Strike was quick and painless and I'm now home; awaiting our final party w/ the cast and crew. Free pizza, etc. I got a bit emotional today. Just Friday, we discovered something that would have been fun to have dug up earlier. Before vocal warmups for the past 4 shows, we had a mini-dance party. Put on some Fleetwood Mac, do the Electric Slide, and set the lights to fun. We all got into it and it became a new tradition for so late in the run. Today's dance party was the moment I got a little choked up. What an incredible cast of people. Everyone's very talented, very genuine and very fun. I usually get attached to my fellow cast mates, but I believe this will be a different goodbye, cuz of Florida; the small size of the cast and the fact that this was a brand new musical. All of us came together, with little to no drama, and made something very special. The Griffin has forwarded a copy of the cast recording to be in the running for some kind of festival. I don't know details, but I did hear the word "Europe" mentioned. I have a good feeling that we will all come together again and remount this in some fashion. I just pray that we can get the entire cast back. It wouldn't be the same w/out the original six. So, to Matt, Steve, Jill, Colleen and Leah (and of course Bill, Rick and George...and Jennie and Dylan and Majel and the other Bill and Chris and; Lord, everyone else!), I had a wonderful time, and am very proud of all of the work that was done on this project. We really did rock, even if there were not a lot of audience members who got to see such incredible rocking out. I think the headline, "Play enjoyed by all", speaks for itself.

Side note; the Griffin benefit was last night and we did 4 songs from the show. I wonder why we were received so well by the benefit folk, and not so much by all of the regular audience members? Oh, the alcohol and no children present! Everyone let loose and we really were pretty spectacular doing the numbers in a "cabaret" setting. A great time, and a nice close-to-final moment for our group. Love you all SO much!
