"Look at that man...he's lighting a cigar..."

The Birds is on; right now; at this very moment. I am in love with this film. Just so you know.

This is an update. For those in the know; you are reading this. You have discovered pure entertainment; or perhaps just my modest blog. Good times.

I can't stand when I hear phone messages that say something like this, "I am currently not available at this moment."

Movies as of late. Transamerica. Awesome; great nudity, great performances; especially Fionulla Flanagan (Jesus, is that the right spelling?). Of course everyone was great. It was super fun, funny and moving. Graham Greene's character was a teddy bear. That same night; we watched The Family Stone. It was cliche and the other half was not impressed. I, however, was pleased with the family dynamic. I believed their chemistry, and was quite surprised by Sarah Jessica Parker. I think the last time I saw her perform; was in Girls Just Want to Have Fun. So anyway; she was good. I find that she and Madonna look a great deal alike. Just so you know. I could have done w/out the interracial gay couple and their adopting a kid...a bit too overdone for my taste.

I have an audition for an independent feature tomorrow, and I got a call from my Milwaukee agent for a commercial audition on Monday. My bosses let me take half day to travel there. Keep your fingers crossed; I need a an acting gig to prove to myself that I am salable. Is that so much to ask?

I have been hired on @ my job. There is still a debate (yet to be raised with my bosses) about pay, benefits, vacation; etc. I will remain hourly though; which leaves me open for any and all auditions; pretty much. I had one last week for a print ad. Didn't get it.

Still haven't see The Descent in the theatre. Apparently I'm a hypocrite; telling everyone to waste no time getting to their local cinema; when I have not made the trek. Typical me.

I'm debating an exit from MySpace. Friend Libby mentioned something about it in a blog; and it triggered something in me. Not only cuz of the many technical issues; but I have my own website to continue to build (by the way; check out my new home page--very proud of it) and I spend far too much time on my computer as it is. And MySpace can be easily cut from my daily computer time. My plan is to take many of the wonderful comments; etc and place them in my blog; with a description of the info. This way, I won't be tied to MySpace, but I won't lose out on the nice memories and comments from friends. I am so brilliant.

I had a great dream last night; which included my latest stew of sin inductee; Ajay and the other half. It did indeed have sexy results.

I also had a dream three nights ago; about zombies. Imagine that.

Speaking (or rather blogging) about zombies; I have three contests that I will be submitting my script to by the end of the month. I SIMPLY HAVE to make some cuts and clean some things up. It has to be done. High priority.

Melanie Daniels just got attacked upstairs by the birds. Did you know that Tippi Hedren almost lost an eye when they shot this scene? It's true.

For those who were desperate to know; I actually caught up on some things that were weighing heavily on my mind. I finally read and commented on friend Harry's script. I finally sent out a batch of cards for different occasions that have been sitting idle for literally months. Two birthday cards; two graduation cards and a sympathy card for my mom (one of her pooches recently died). Luckily; that one wasn't super behind. Of course, I am now behind on my nieces birthday card. But, I did call and talk to her on her actual birthday; so there! Ugh.

I am getting antsy to return home. It's been over 4 years since I have seen most of my family. Talking to my two nieces (let me remind you that I've met the eldest once and the youngest never) was heart-wrenching. What saddens me is that they have 0 idea of who I am. They can be told of an "Uncle Mike" till the cows come home; but they don't have a face/personality to put w/ it. There has been some heavy discussion w/ the other half about a return during the holidays. The main reason we never go back during the winter months; we would both rather escape the cold and go to somewhere warm. This explains our journeys in the past years to Mexico, Florida and Puerto Rico. Who wants to leave the cold to vacation somewhere cold?

Sadly, this entry comes to a close; and I haven't even exhausted all of the pent up blogging I have. I have yet to comment on the remainder of the Vegas trip (over a month ago) and the Patti LaBelle concert (two weeks ago). I must keep up on things. I simply must.

And so, The Birds is ending; so must my blog.
