Short Film Update
I didn't have a completed script (nor do I now) when I first discussed doing a short film w/ friend Clare. However, over the past several hours, I've put together a 1st; and very rough; draft. I already knew what I had in mind, but I needed to flesh it out. I started w/ 6 pages this morning (completed from weeks ago) and have ended w/ about 14; a few moments ago. Good thing, cuz Clare will be arriving here in a couple of hours, for our very first "pre-production" meeting. How long before the novelty wears off; and I stop putting quotes around these words? That's anyone's guess. Anyway, it will be nice for her to have something to refer to; before we start discussing actual production of the script. Nifty. I ran my title by several folks; including Clare; and A Day at Margot's House was not cutting the mustard. I now will be referring to it as A Knock at the Door. Whether this will stick, I have no earthly idea. I think for a rough first draft, what I've written has potential. It's about as basic a story as you can get, but I believe the fun will come in the "how" it was done, not what it's about. I've taken the cliches of the zombie genre; and given it a few changes (much like I did w/ Sid's Apple), but in the end, it's still my fave; a good old-fashioned dead people eating living people story. Who doesn't love these things? C'mon.

Not that my two cents matter much, but I think that A Knock at the Door is more enticing than A Day at Margot's House. (As in I like the mysteriousness of 'A Knock' rather than the Howard's End-sy 'Margot's'. Not that you asked, but there it is.
Of course your two cents matter! I appreciate any and all feedback. Certainly from someone I've known since the dawn of time. Did that make you feel old? It sure did me! :)
