Alexis is in the house!

While I was away from home @ friends Serena and Lester; the other half picked up the long-awaited (at least by us) second season DVD set of Dynasty. We watched one episode yesterday and just completed a mini-marathon of 7 more episodes this evening. We should be able to finish the season in a couple more days. It has been quite some time since we bathed ourselves in the guilty pleasure that was season one, so I figured I wouldn't remember much from back then. It all came back so perfectly as we fell into this second season. The tension is building between Crystal and Alexis; and I know one of those patented shoulder-padded cat fights can't be far off. I had no idea that Heather Locklear showed up so early in the show's run. So much has happened already; a miscarriage, a creepy psychiatrist with a hidden agenda (that's driving me nuts!); the absence of Mathew Blaisdell (sad) and the absence of Lindsay Blaisdell (glad), more denial from Steven Carrington, and the amazing arrival of that perfect gay icon/bitch (is there any gay icon that's not a bitch in some small way?), Alexis Carrington (Joan Collins). I'm loving it, but already mourning the fact that we'll have to wait another hundred years for season three. Thus, I must savor these moments remaining in season two; about another 15 episodes. Pure, trashy goodness.
