Politics. As Easy as 1-2-3!

1.) President Bush is currently delivering his final State of the Union Address. Not that I'm paying any attention. Why should I? It's just the same pile of never-ending garbage that usually spews forth from his mouth. Is that a devil-like goatee I see? Oh, never mind, that's Cheney sitting behind him. I can't believe that within a year, I can finally tell this slime, "good riddance".

2.) Obama won in SC. I'm not happy about this. He also picked up THE KENNEDY OKAY. That hurts a bit for my gal Hill. But, I have not yet lost faith that she can do it. However, as the other half and I sat discussing politics in the IHOP over lunch (ground zero for political discussions, I'm told), I admitted that the idea of Obama taking office was bothering me less. I do see that if he were to get the coveted spot, it would be completely fresh. "Billary" as everyone is calling them, bring w/ them a great deal of experience/knowledge/know-how, but also a heaping helping of nasty baggage. I do get that (almost sickening) sense that it is time to shake things up in an even larger way than having another Clinton in office.

3.) I'm very excited that Super Tuesday is just around the corner. I got my voter card in the mail, and I am ready to cast my vote; for my very first primary. Doesn't Goldenbooks have a book about that? Did anyone get that reference?
