Blah...

I'm about to leave for my second interview today. It's a collection agency, so we'll see. I was asked by the third party recruiter, if I had any issues w/ cursing, as apparently the place I am interviewing for is heavy into such activity. Does that mean a wonderfully, relaxed environment? Perhaps an extremely lax dress code? I hope so. I had my first of two interviews this morning. It's my second interview w/ The Container Store. Last week was a first/group interview. This one this morning was very short. Like 5 minutes short. Glad I drove all the way past Beverly Hills for it. However, if I do get the job, that would be great. Looks like I might be back in retail soon. The stupid thing though, is that last week, in the group setting, we were all told that they were hiring for "everything", i.e full time and part time. Today, it appears as though it may only be part time. We'll see. I was offered a job from this company a couple of years ago, when still in Chicago. It was in the OakBrook store, so I had to turn it down. I'm kind of excited to get this gig.

The other half got another call today, so he has another interview on Tuesday. It's great to get all of these interviews, but for goodness sake, can we get offers for jobs that might last longer than a week?

Got the new IKEA catalog yesterday. I'm itching to get some decorating done in our new place. That would also entail getting our belongings from far away Phoenix. Yes, they're still there, and yes, I'm still bitching about it.

I have a meeting w/ a young filmmaker tomorrow afternoon, for a short film he's directing. The part I'm up for is a serial killer pedophile. Should be right up my alley. Oops, that is to say, up my alley as far as challenging roles to play...that's what I'm looking for in my alley. Challenging roles. Ahem.

The deadline for friend AC's (and his horror theatre company in Chicago) competition for a scary radio play was today. I was never inspired beyond my initial spark, and couldn't get past 5 pages, or past writer's block. I looked for other ideas to submit, but it didn't happen. I'm pissed that I missed it, but it's too late now. I'm a loser.

Perhaps I'll report on the post interview this afternoon, or wait to talk about my meeting tomorrow w/ the young film director. Until then, have a pleasant evening.

Isn't there some more Phelps this evening? That'll soothe my jangled nerves.
