What a Skank!

This news surely is delivered from the heavens, and I hope it ends up capsizing the already sinking McCain campaign. This news of Governor Sarah Palin's 17 year old daughter being in "the family way" is, to quote my gal Kathy Griffin, "like a hug from Jesus". A few things. McCain knew about this before he made the choice. Another clear indication that Alzheimer's is on the move. Who in their right mind would make such a choice, knowing such juicy, potentially devastating info? I also want to agree w/ the MSNBC anchors we have been watching today. Why would Sarah Palin choose to take this job, knowing full well that her possibly scared, confused pregnant teen daughter would end up being under heavy scrutiny...being called a whore, easy or perhaps, "skank". That's selfish and places her center in some outlandish dreamworld. She has the gall to ask the public/media to let them have private time to deal with this issue. Are you insane?

Next, what kind of high moraled, Christian mother would allow this to happen? She's still a minor, presumably still living under your roof, and under your control. I think it's fair to say that you've failed as a mother. And again, to ask us to leave it be? The other half made a good point. One of the main things we were told when her appointment was made, was that she was a mother of 5. Over and over. She's a mother of 5. She's a mother of 5. She's a mother of 5. She just had a baby w/ Down's Syndrome. She's a mother of 5. Clearly she had no other experience to tout, so...guess what? She's a mother of 5. Well, it was okay then to use her motherhood as a plus, so we're sure as shit gonna use it to our benefit, when that "mothering" was so obviously NOT top of the line.

Every moment that passes in this race, it becomes painfully obvious that McCain and his campaign are clueless. As Obama said last week..."McCain doesn't get it." His choices so far are blind, careless and foolish. Let's hope this all continues.

BTW, when I heard this news, I was immediately reminded of Britney Spears' younger sister, who also was pregnant in her late teens and gave birth just recently. Is this the comparison that the McCain campaign would like to have? I doubt it. Now who is being compared to celebrities? And the white-trash teen pregnancy of this situation is far worse a comparison than simply vague similarities of basic celebrity, like Obama and Britney. Remember that preacher who prayed for rain on the day of Obama's acceptance speech? It didn't happen, but look how things are going for the RNC. Hmmm. Well, that blew up in their face, and now, celebrity comparisons can now be made on their end. You reap what you sow. I say get out while you still can.
