How about Edward James Olmos, for an Emmy, or a Golden Globe? Why not? Watching him in this inaugural season of Battlestar Galactica, it has come to my attention that he is a very controlled actor, with immense presence. All of the other actors on the program are good, but he commands the attention of the viewer whenever he appears. His Adama is calm, collected and unshakeable. He has had several moments of brilliance. Why just this evening, as "Ms. Godfrey" kissed him, his reaction as they pulled apart, wide eyed and suspicious, was priceless. The moments he does show a hint of emotion, underneath his calm demeanor, are all the more interesting, cuz he is so believable in his regular state. A big thumbs up for Ed, and best wishes for the recently announced second season. Watch this one folks!
