Sickness sucks!
Being gone from work the first day, with a sickness, is not so bad. It is, after all, a day off. Not that you can do much, other than sit under the covers, watch TV and get up every now and then to pee. Once it goes past that first day, the guilt starts settling in, regardless if you are really ill or not. The work starts to pile up back @ the office, and your back starts to ache from all of the time spent in the bed. What really stinks about being ill, is that you sometimes get those days when the TV schedule is downright pathetic. You can handle it for that first day, but after that, there is only so much "Moral Court" you can stomach. It makes you think about those folks who are stuck doing this every day; housewives, househusbands, invalids; the rich. How can they do it? What else would they be doing but watching TV? Going out? Making the world a better place? Taking care of the young'uns? Shopping? Cleaning? Yeah right. Aside from the vacation/sick days lost, it has to be sucky TV that is the most difficult to endure when ill.
