Around the Corner

My boss is very big into "good vibrations". She really believes deeply in positive thought, and that if positive vibes are put out there, then the universe will return them to you. I have gotten interested in this, and find it to be true. Her best example involves money. If you sit on your duff all day, and complain about being poor, "I need this. I can't afford to pay my bills, I wish I could go out to dinner, but I can't afford it", then you will get only more of the same. If you picture yourself using your money, how you are going to spend your new riches, enjoying what you have and believing that you are doing well, then good things, including money, will come to you. Negative thoughts equal negative returns. Positive thoughts equal positive returns. Last summer, I was able to meet George Romero. It is no secret how I respect the man, and how badly I wish to work for him. He just seems to be a down to earth, nice guy. He also happens to be a brilliant director, and his films are among my truly favorite. I felt as though one day, I would be able to work for him. All of this happened so fast, but I was able to give his wife a business card for his perusal. Within moments after getting his autograph, his entourage entered the same diner I was sitting in, with my friends. He sat next to us. So many things seemed to match up. More than can be discussed here. The next step, was meeting many of his actors a few months later. My reasoning is that I wanted to be part of his inner circle (he works with the same folks, over and over), and then the next time I met him, I also met his inner circle. What is the next logical step? This all sounds a bit wishy-washy, and dreamy, but I really believe it can work. I tried to discuss this w/ some friends of mine, but they did not seem to get it. I explained that I did not feel the need to audition anymore, that things would come a new way. There has to be another route to take. As in a blog many weeks ago, I said the same thing, I just have to find the new path. I believe that positive thought will be the answer. Follow the map of positive thinking. It only gets easier from here on out!
