"The Island" Awaits

Loved it. Loved it. Yes, it is pure fluff, filled w/ cotton candy adrenaline, super tasty actors, and just enough broccoli "message" to make it the teensiest bit thought-provoking. Part Logan's Run, part Soylent Green and just a dash of Coma make this a great summertime rollercoaster. Loved it! I have never found Scarlett Johanssen more than a bit unique looking. In this, she is HOT!! We get the great joy of Ewan McGregor w/ his shirt off, and the outfits these folks wear are complete eye candy...at least on some of the actors. The action sequences were intense, and made me scream out loud more than once, the effects were brilliant, and all of the actors memorized their lines very well. All right, they did more than that. Total fun treat, and should be enjoyed in the correct context. Let's not put this in the same category as say, The Aviator, it won't hold up. But for fun, action and steamy lead chemistry, good stuff. I highly recommend you (my non-readers) see this immediately. Go. Now. What are you waiting for? Pack the car and head out, you deadbeats.
