An Evening with Peter Saarsgard

Did I spell that right? I'm too lazy to go check. This on line thing is just too complicated.

We watched Garden State last night. I didn't love it...I liked it. It wasn't all that the hype made it out to be; not that I was keenly following the press on the film when it came out; what last year? 2004? Natalie Portman was precious and I was pleased with Zach Braff. I've never seen him in action before. Peter Saarsgard is everywhere! Among the many great moments in an otherwise okay film; the dog scratching himself (hysterical; we rewound it about 10 times), Natalie Portman's entire kooky character, the burial of "Jelly", and the bathtub scene. Overall, I felt it was a bit cliched; more than I would have liked to see. Good, not great.

Kinsey followed Garden State. Again, not all it was cracked up to be. Great performances, fun & surprising Peter Saarsgard nudity; a lot more gay-ness than I expected. It just didn't move me the way I had expected it to. Not much more to say. Glad I saw both, but they won't stick around in my long-term memory...sorry.

This is the third and fourth Peter Saarsgard films I've seen in less than a month. He's taking over the world! That's fine, he's kinda cute.
