A Surprising Reply
I recently joined MySpace.com. Why not? Well, I found that Tears for Fears (my favorite band) has a profile there, so I decided to send them a message, of how I listened to their current album as I was writing my screenplay. I also asked if they had ever considered scoring a film. I explained that their track, "Last Days on Earth" would be ideal for the closing credits of my film. I got a reply from Roland Orzabal within a day. He was flattered and said he would love to hear that song in the end credits of a film. Cool, I just communicated with Roland Orzabal of Tears for Fears. He also thanked me for being a fan. Good times. He didn't really answer my question, but now that I know he will reply readily, I will keep pestering him when (I almost wrote "if") my film is going to be produced. Again, I'm no idiot and realize that I would have very little control over such things, unless I was the one producing this whole spiel, but I've yet to figure out what I'm going to do with it. My ending is not happy, and I would hate for someone to take it over, and change things drastically. I wouldn't be able to handle that. So, to Roland, you'll hear from me soon!

I also joined myspace, but it has only confirmed two things for me:
1. I am old.
2. I am even more anti-social than I previously believed.
Well don't feel bad honey. At least you needed something to tell you that you're old. I've known all along. No surprise here. Plus, I don't necessarily hang out with the people listed on my friends network (not often). I may have in the past, but believe me, I'm not that social as of late!
