Acting Hoo-Ha
The audition last night went well. I find that each time I consider committing to doing another audition and another theatre show, that I do it begrudgingly. That is, until I arrive at the audition; especially for the Griffin (great, fun, talented people), and am brought back into their fold. I am smitten, and ready to commit. They bring that out in me. It's always a reminder that theatre is where I started, as much as I want to make a living doing commercials, films, etc. But, it is what I know best, and being in that atmosphere confirms my deep love and need to do it. Weird. Each time I go back, it's like a lightning strike. So, I need to stop dreading the commitment, and enjoy the experience.
I returned home from the audition, picked up the mail, and found one of my SASE that I had sent into one of the many agents a week or so ago. Can we say REJECTION?. Surprisingly, when I opened it, I found a letter requesting an initial, general interview. Great. That's two that have wanted to see me. I just have to set up the interview today, and I'll be going on my way. Work, work, work. Money, money, money.

It was great to see you at the audition last night, Michael. I know just what you mean when you mentioned the Hasbro/Ben problem. The poor Jojos I was reading with kept being subjected to some odd cadences in my speech. Fortunately, though, you seemed to be able to keep his interpretation out of your mouth, if not out of your mind. Very funny as always, Klug.

Thanks man. I hope you have a blast AD-ing the show. Ben is not around, but his legend lives on!
