Finally!
My second temp agency; the one I interviewed with only a week ago (way to go, agency I've had for two months!), found me a job. It's temporary; but for 60-90 days. There is the possibility of a "conversion". I take it that means a possible full time gig. It will be paying more than what unemployment paid, but w/ taxes taken out, will come out to a bit less. I guess it's better to take something and keep looking, than be making nothing at all once unemployment runs out. Sucky thing is, it's in the burbs. Not as far as I used to go to work in Palatine, but "out there" nonetheless. I will have the truck Mon, Wed & Fri, but will have to figure out what the hell works on Tues and Thurs. There is public transportation out that far, but I have no idea how long it will take to get there. However, on the way home; on Tues & Thurs, the other half drives right near by; so he'll be able to pick me up. The mornings may be difficult, but the other half might be able to get me there by taking a different route to work. I start Monday, so we'll see how it goes! It's an investment company. Apparently, I'll be calling existing customers and attempt to set up an appointment w/ them and the brokers. So I'll be on the phone all day long; no change from my last job.
