The Long Awaited Return
Friend Chris recently posted a blog about a place on the web where you can use the artwork of comic artists and create your own comic strip for the internet. You supply the stories and dialogue and you can cut and paste different artwork/backgrounds etc. to help tell your story. I thought it was such a cool idea, but had nothing pop up in my head that would work for such a venue. How could I possibly use this cool thing? Then it dawned on me. I had a series of stories I had written back in my high school writing heyday. George, Frank and Liza. It was an ongoing tale of flesh-eating, chili and sexual innuendo. It became somewhat of a staple during the lunchtime hour. My small group of friends (I wouldn't use the word anxiously) would await each new tale. The stories were purposely written w/ horrible grammar and run on sentences. It was the story of George; a member of the living dead, and his friend Frank; and his girlfriend Liza. They would hang out at Joe's on 45 1/2 street; apparently a great place for chili. This comic site seems an ideal place to share their exploits. I had also recently begun a screenplay based on those stories; but after three pages; I didn't think it would fly. George, Frank and Liza; welcome to your new home. Here's the first installment...
