Behind the Times

I feel very...un-caught up.

We haven't watched Battlestar Galactica for the past 3 weeks, and won't be watching tonight. What's the point? I mean, we have no idea what's happening. I hope this doesn't mean the end of our time aboard Galactica. Cuz this is exactly how all of our other "favorite" shows went by the wayside. We missed several, and that was all she wrote.

I haven't replied to emails or MySpace messages in forever. I need to find a time to just sit down and "knock them out". My God, I've been using that phrase far to much lately. It comes directly from the mouth of my new boss. Well, perhaps new isn't correct. I've actually been at my job for almost 6 months. My how time flies when you're having fun...or rather, keeping super busy.

Last week saw the one year anniversary since I got canned from my previous job. A year! That's just crazy to me.

I'm THRILLED that the Democrats have regained power. Absolute change for the better.

I got to do some actual acting on House of Black Wings; a couple of nights ago. It's my first time in front of the camera since my episode of neuroses way back when. There was no repeat of that event (thank God), but I was thrilled to be back in "Steve"'s skin again. Lots of fancy makeup effects for me as well, courtesy of "jill-of-all-trades" DP Clare. Love her! We filmed at Loyola in a library study room. Of course, once I had my horrible, gory makeup on, I had to use the restroom. The nearest one was on the other side of the building. Lots of staring. And the librarian at the front desk asked me; with the most worried, distressed look, "Are you okay?" Photos of the scene and Clare's brilliant makeup job will be showing up later. What was really strange, is that even when I wanted to take my place behind the camera; I couldn't; cuz of all the makeup effects. While it was nice to only be doing the acting and watch the crew run around like headless chickens, I felt kind of useless just sitting around for my next shot. Chris; the AD, felt the need to taunt me with and make false love to my beloved slate. Damn you Chris! :) Tomorrow we shoot the scene I've been longing to do. It's the big climactic fight scene. Baseball bats, knives, thumbs in eyes, groin kicking. Should be a treat. We couldn't agree on a time/place to choreograph this big rigamarole, so we will be doing so tomorrow on set. The other half is going to help me get my lines down this evening. Not difficult; no conversation; just me yelling at my intended victim. Good times.

I need to give more detail about all my various comings and goings as of late, but I need to learn my lines and get a good night's sleep. I've got some attempted murder to learn and carry out tomorrow. :)
