Just Thinkin'
This weekend will be the final weekend of shooting for House of Black Wings. It feels like an eternity since I've been to work on it. I guess it was the weekend before Thanksgiving; so in a way it was an eternity. It'll be a quick weekend; as far as I can tell; not a lot of work. Then next Wednesday; I will film my final scene (I was to film it last weekend, but never left the house due to my boy's illness...he's doing much better, thank you). Then it's only some *possible* reshoots after the holidays. All of the friends and contacts I've made will be fruitful; both personally and professionally. I've learned so much. I realize I've said that over and over again; but I just feel extremely grateful for this opportunity. Thanks to David and Clare for an exciting, wonderful experience. *side note...the website has me listed third in the cast; after the two leads. I asked director David (I'm sure he was disgusted); if I would have third billing in the film. He said the end credits would probably be alphabetical. I doubt he was disgusted; it's just my usual wondering how everyone views me; w/ no actual confirmations. Let it be said; I WOULD like to have third billing. Who wouldn't?
The Amazing Race ends the season on Sunday night (keep your fingers crossed that the shoot will be over by 6pm in time for me to get home to see it). The Barbie's/Blonde's were booted this last week. I found them nasty at times, but appreciated their no nonsense approach to the game. I would have liked to see them in the final three. They had spunk. I had a dream that Dustin (the shorter one?) was interested in me; after I approached them to congratulate them on their race. She ended up kissing me w/ tongue. I don't recall it being pleasurable. Alas. Had it been one of the Cho Bros. or "the boys", it might have been different. I'm unsure of who I want to come out on top when the race comes to an end. I'm not a big fan of "Bama", and certainly not of Rob and Kimberly. I guess that leaves "the boys" on the top of my hopefuls. BTW, the camel meat looked quite good.
It doesn't look as if the other half and I will be doing anything special for Christmas. It's been 4 years since I've been home. We (or rather I) were/was hoping to see my family. I'm not making much money at the day job right now. If I were to close a deal or two in the next two weeks, the trip back to SD would be more plausible. As it looks now, our Christmas and New Year's will be spent here in the windy city. Not a horrific thing; we're usually somewhere else, so it might be nifty to have down time @ home. Although, we did do that for turkey day. We'll see.
Bless this mess.
