The Ultimate Wasted Day

Following a very relaxing, much needed evening out @ the home of friends, the other half and I returned to our pad late last night to pass out from the over-eating/drinking and general exhaustion from the week. In the mail yesterday, we received the camera and software that the other half had ordered; so that I might (at last) begin capturing French Toast footage and move into the excitement of editing my masterpiece...ahem. He stayed up much later than I, loading the info into our computer. I was up this morning; early; ready to start my day attached to the computer. After many mishaps; over about a 12 hour period...with and without the other half's presence, I am cutting my losses and finally retiring for the evening; having captured NO FOOTAGE. We tried so many things, looked @ tons of pages in the manual, and discovered that the software folks help desk is closed on weekends. At this point, we don't know what is wrong. Is it the software, the camera; our own computer or drive? Jesus, I just don't know. I'm exhausted, irritated and just plain impatient. I'm ready to start on it, what in the universe is keeping it from me? Perhaps the fact that I just used the Lord's name in vain two sentences ago? Could be. But for now, I will move easily into sleep, and begin tomorrow morning in my battle to take the next step in the filmmaking process. Why won't technology work with me? Good night.
