A few photos from our trip to my breathtakingly beautiful state of South Dakota. I already miss the freshness of the mountain air. I'm telling you; it MUST be packaged and sold @ a premium. The first photo is from our trip to Crazy Horse Monument. A lot of work has been done since I was there as a little kid. Pretty spectacular. The second one is me @ Pactola Lake. It's a great vacation/camping spot; as well as the main water reservoir for Rapid City. No longer will I take for granted the beauty of where I grew up. If you've never been there; do yourself a favor; and start planning a trip. Admittedly, there are a lot of "tourist traps"; but there are also plenty of valid, educational and historic sites to visit. What's that book? 1000 Places to Visit Before You Die? Are the Black Hills of SD listed in that book? If not, they should be. I'm hoping ANOTHER visit (very soon) back home will be in the cards; part of the new life journey that the other half and I are currently beginning.
