Here Comes an Update

No word from my former employers on a severance package. I think they're avoiding me. Isn't that professional? I emailed them again early this morning; the second email to go unanswered. I just want to find closure w/ these people so I can move ahead.

Went to the doctor yesterday; my sore throat and chest congestion continued. I usually get strep and an upper respiratory infection once a year. I assumed this was my time this year. No strep and my lungs were fine. It was allergies. I was prescribed a generic Allegra and started on it yesterday. I was also given a prescription for an inhaler. I've become one of those people. Today I'm feeling much better; and happy to have that taste of health, but I'm still far from 100%. I plan on going to "Rancho Relaxo" this weekend; beginning on Thursday. We have to move our vehicle from our garage as they are repaving or something; thus the other half suggested I just go to friend Serena and Lester's a bit early. It's not as if I have to work or anything. I okayed it w/ Serena. The only thing holding me back; is my health. If I'm not feeling much better by Wednesday, I won't go.

Still no word on the other half's potential employer. I'm getting antsy. I want to make the move and get settled. This limbo was fine for awhile, but I think I'm ready to get another sense of stability.

Friends Jeff and Chris were back in town this weekend. I felt miserable most of the time, but we did go out for several meals and some shopping. Most fun was our two evenings of poker. Our kitchen table was cleaned off, we had our new set of "professional" chips and a free download later, we had a timer which also included the increasing blinds; the same one we used when back home w/ my brother. Beginning to have a bit of an addiction to this game.

The other half and I are looking for jobs; at least for the time that we will still be here; which at this point, could still be forever.
