Great Line Deliveries
Caught the end of Titanic on the tellie this evening. In between my heavy tears, I once again saw Kathy Bates' terrific delivery of a simple line. As the first lifeboat survivors watched the horror of the great ship falling into the sea from far away, "The Unsinkable Molly Brown" (Bates) stared wide-eyed; with white breath escaping her mouth, said, "God Almighty". Sends shivers down my spine, every time I hear it. The awe, the horror, the nausea she must be feeling at that moment, all wrapped up so nicely in that bit of dialogue, and delivered w/ perfect pitch by Kathy. Good job. Kudos. Nice work, and all that jazz.
