Concerns about the Living Dead #30

(left: more poster art for the film)
Tonight's the night. George A. Romero's Diary of the Dead; on the big screen w/ a preview audience. Free tickets. I've avoided reading much on this; other than a synopsis, so I don't feel overly-hyped about it. I guess I've had a great deal going on in my own life to spend much time psyching myself up for this viewing. There have been no ads on the telly (at least that I've seen), so I don't know how well it will do over the weekend. This morning, right before I awoke, I had a wonderfully intense zombie dream. Of course, I wasn't technically in it, it was actually me dreaming that I was seeing a clip from tonight's film. Heather Langenkamp (Nancy from the A Nightmare on Elm Street films) was one of the stars; and there were some uber-creepy goings-on in a zombie shelter; which was apparently a mental hospital. Good times. Could be a good story brainstorm. So, in a few hours; on this most romantic of days; I will see blood-letting and the breakdown of our society as cannibals make the most of our meaty flesh. Happy Valentine's Day to all!

Here are some links (bloody disgusting.com) for some new interviews/info...all related to Mr. Romero and his new Nestea-Plunge into zombie-dom.
