Boring Update

So my uncle’s back home…disoriented, but better to be back in his own bed. Upcoming for him is therapy, meds and more tests. I’ll keep in touch w/ my mom for updates.

My brother and sister-in-law had to put their oldest pooch, Maggie (a Norwegian Elkhound) to sleep. She was a cutie, fluffy, cuddly pooch, and will be missed. They already are making plans to get a new one.

Still no job. I had an interview on Monday w/ a company that produces dog/cat food. Haven’t heard back, and will call to follow up tomorrow. I thought the interview went quite well, but no word yet. I won’t hope for anything since my last seemingly “locked-in” job didn’t happen. I also have another interview w/ a second temp agency on Friday.

Fun news. I have an audition for a game show next Tuesday in Burbank. It’s a show on GSN, but I won’t say more, since I don’t want to get cocky and jinx it. It revolves around pop trivia, so I should do quite well. If/when I get it, it will shoot in August. Keep your fingers crossed. I’m actually catching an episode of it right now. Out of 7 questions, I just got 5 right. Not too bad.

Other weird news today; but will hold off to see how it ends up. Three words, “gimme a break!”

We had freebie tickets for a preview of the new The Mummy film yesterday, but the other half didn’t get there in time for us to get in. However, we were both asked to be in a focus group for film marketing materials. Today, the other half was called in, I was not. Poo.

We finally got a TV on Sunday…off of Craig’s List. Cost us 33 bucks, the picture’s great and we are finally taking advantage of the cable we’ve been paying for; over the past month. Gotta say, didn’t necessarily miss it, but having it back has been wonderful. I’m a TV geek. And just in time to see the season premiere of Project Runway tomorrow night. Nice!

And that concludes this lame-ass entry. Have a nice night.
