A Letter
I'm not sure if it's tacky to post this, but here it is anyway. This is the email I sent to my former employer. I think it's respectful but also to the point. Let me know your thoughts.
"I bear no ill-will about my recent firing. I understand that you made a decision you felt was in the best interest of the company. I certainly respect that.
However, with the posting of the ad for my former position; only a day later, your explanation of my firing--something along the lines of "there was an uncertainty about what we wanted for the position", only served to humiliate me further.
I have no need to dwell further on what I believe to be your loss, but I do wish you would have been honest with me. I'm an adult, and can certainly handle rejection and/or criticism.
I wish you luck in your search for a new assistant, and urge you to be more straight-forward with your present and future employees. It's just common decency."

They suck.
And personally, I like your letter.
You've had your share of tough crap-- it's time for bigger and better!
C'mon universe, make this right!
Thank you my dear friend. I greatly appreciate the good vibes everyone is sending to us...continually. :)
Continuously? Is that the right word? I meant that everyone who is interested, has had to keep sending us well wishes. Over and over again!
