Local Actors Spotted #44-55

I've been remiss in updating on this particular series, so here we go.

I already mentioned that I saw Jon Voight a second time...walking outside of my store.

I also had Nicole Ritchie in my store.

Seal and Heidi Klum walked by on my first day in the store.

Donald Faison was the guy from Clueless and Scrubs, although I didn't know his name @ the time.

Two days ago, Hayley Duff was in. You might know her as the older sister of Hillary. I know her as the host of the Legally Blonde reality show, and of course as Summer Wheatley in Napoleon Dynamite. She was very sweet, and I got to chat w/ her a bit.

At the Arclight on Sunset, when I was still touting my wares for free movie preview tickets, I saw Daphne Zuniga (of Melrose Place and Spaceballs), as well as the dad from Dharma & Greg--but I know him better as Tony Moss, the head honcho behind "Goddess" in one of my faves, Showgirls. His name is Alan Rachins.

Just last week, at the Arclight (apparently the hotspot for lots of Hollywood players) we saw Gerard Butler. I saw him in the hallway, then followed him into the bathroom. Okay, I didn't follow him, but I did see him coming out as I was going in. Also that same evening, we saw Kevin McDonald of The Kids in the Hall. Finally, in this star studded evening, we saw Wes Craven. Now, for those that are living under a rock, he is the director of some of my all time favorite films. He's a GOD to me, okay? So, I was not going to let an opportunity pass me by to say hello and get a goddamned photo, okay? Well, I approached him, and he was doing something to the side of the guest services desk. I asked politely if I could get a photo? He politely replied that he had just lost his phone, and had to deal with that at the moment. Oh well, I "sort of" met him then, right?

Tom Hodges. Do you know him? Let me set this up. The night before this guy came into my store, the other half and I were talking about the fact that many of these lesser known actors would go unnoticed by everyone but me. We discussed the fact that it will be one of them that will get me excited. The next day at work, Tom Hodges enters. I immediately knew him, knew his name, and said hello. Clearly he was taken aback, not only that I recognized him, but that I knew his name. He's known very well by me, from great 80's flicks such as Lucas, Revenge of the Nerds 2, and Steel Magnolias (Dolly aka Truvy's son). He was very nice, ordered a lamp, and took my address. He's going to send an autographed photo to me...this was his suggestion, after I asked for an autograph. I was THRILLED to meet him! Good times.
