So Long, Natasha

What a tragic story. I admittedly was never a "Natasha-head", for lack of a better word, but everything I saw her in, I found her beautiful and talented. My strongest memory of her was of her performance in Nell. I thought it was a fabulous acting trio in that film; Neeson, Foster and Richardson. I would later come to know her from her Tony-winning performance as Sally Bowles in Cabaret (I never saw her perform it live, but I knew the cast album well). I also remember her for a little known film in the late 80's called Gothic. It's a Ken Russell, mind-f*** film, full of his trademark wacky visuals. She stars opposite Gabriel Byrne and Julian Sands. It's a take on the night in which Mary Shelley was inspired to write Frankenstein. So long, Natasha. Here's a link w/ more info.
