Whatever and More Whatever
Whatever.
I have to put an end to chewing my nails. I just can't stop.
I'm irritated. I'll let the cat out of the bag now, although it won't be official until Monday. I have been demoted @ my job. I am no longer an Associate Manager, I am now a full time salesperson. I was offered a position w/ a tiny pay increase; @ the Santa Monica location. I declined, took a slight pay cut and stayed at my current location. A few reasons why. I don't want to start over w/ new customers, and new co-workers. Not interested in that. Also, since I don't drive; and take public transportation, my commute would be about 2 hours (at least) a day; on the bus. No thanks. In addition, the Santa Monica location has longer hours...well past the hours I now work. Yes, let me close the store @ 10pm, get out of there by 10:30pm, wait for the bus for half hour and then take it home for another hour...all on a riotous LA Saturday night. I don't think so. Of course I was only demoted because others were demoted. I didn't have seniority. Seems unfair, but we'll see how it pans out. A lot of resentment, but also some relief. When some bitchy, bandage-faced Beverly Hills housewife with puffy Melanie Griffith lips wants to speak to a manager, I can now say, "hold on for just a moment, I'll get one". I have so little responsibility now. I get to sell and sell some more. Not bad, since that's one of my strong suits anyway. I'm just also irritated cuz I KNOW for a fact that I am one of the hardest working people @ my location. I don't say that to be an ass...it's just plain fact. So, there it is.
Off to Vegas w/ the other half and friend Chris...tomorrow. Just a quick overnight getaway, but f*** do I need it! Freebie hotel room @ Paris, so I'm all jazzed about it.
Nothing has happened on the "Baker" script. I've sent it to about 10 people...and am awaiting feedback. Hurry up people! I know you have lives, but hell! I mean, jeez! I want to begin a third draft, but figured I would wait to see what folks had to say. Actually, I'm thankful that so many people have taken on the task to help me out. Thanks, guys!
Busy as hell @ work today. But, made my time go fast; as I wait for tomorrow's journey to the East to get here. Hurry up!
Saw The Incredible Hulk. Aside from a constantly shirtless Edward Norton, I found very little memorable about this one. Meh.
Well. Well.
Whatever.
