Get Off of My Back!

This will be a horrible stereotype, but I have noticed that when I talk to senior citizens over the phone, they tend to sound bitter. Are they really, or is it just their voices changing as they age? Or is it the fact that they are talking to me, a relative "youngster"? If it is the bitterness that I feel when conversing w/ them, then get the hell over it, and don't blame me cuz you did not live your life the way you wanted to, and now have to deal in new daily regrets. New day, new regret. Get off my back, and when you take a message, try to sound more enthused. At least you are talking to someone.
