Again With the Screenplay
Last night, I could not fall asleep, so I stayed up til 1am. Hell, I don't have to get up in the morning, right? Well, I had heard of the "Final Draft" software, for writing screenplays. I threw caution to the wind and downloaded it last night. Only 229 bucks. Sure I am poor, but I have to start thinking about things, like proper formatting on my work. It is a great thing, and I am glad to now have it. When I started working with it last night, I was at about 96 pages. I have reformatted about 40 pages, to fit the standard screenplay look, and I now am up to 109 pages. I am actually quite shocked at how much length has been added. I felt certain that I was doing something wrong, and am still wondering if the font size I have is accurate. If so, I have a possible 2 1/2 hour movie on my hands. Remember, I still have another 50 + pages to reformat, and I haven't even finished the script yet! I still have many scenes that need to be written! All this time I was sure I would be scrounging to reach a feature length script, and now here I am, with already close to 2 hours! Am I missing something? I don't know. Anyone else who may have used this software, let me know about any tips. I can't believe it!

Well, the last time I wrote a screenplay... Ah, who am I kidding here!? I can see where formatting is going to add a lot of page #'s to your work; I wouldn't worry about it. I am in awe that you've written so much and not a single hot cocoa swilling zombie in the lot for me to play? Oh, well. That's alright!

Hell for a first draft of the movie, it can be 5 hours long. Who cares? That's what editing is for.
